A Brief History of Beit Sar Shalom In 1999, a new home congregation was birthed in Ariel (Samaria). “Hope of Samaria” was the first Messianic congregation in the are since the time of the Messiah. Additionally, six new bible studies and home groups are organized in the Tel Aviv area. Beit Sar Shalom’s work in Israel now expands with many outreaches. Evangelistic classical concerts are attended by hundreds of Israelis, free tours of Jaffo and Jerusalem are organized where people hear not only about the history of Israel but the Good News of Messiah. In 2000, Beit Sar Shalom starts the first ever Messianic magazine in the Russian language. Today, this magazine is distributed in 15 countries and over 400 people have come to faith through the ministry of this work; the vast majority of them Jewish. In 2004, there was a new addition to the ministry as the Jerusalem Messianic Center was purchased in Jerusalem entirely through the giving of our supporters. This building serves as the home for Beit Sar Shalom but also as a home for numerous events and activities; conferences, seminars, bible studies, prayer meetings, housing for short term missions, concerts, festival activities, fellowship, youth ministry, one on one evangelism and a place of unity for all of the congregations and ministries in the land of Israel. We are also involved in running and serving in rehabilitation centers, ministry to single mothers and outreach to holocaust survivors. Our staff has grown to 13 full time members plus hundreds of volunteers during the year.
